Clover Legends Grimoire Tier List — Every Book, Every Source
Each of the 15 grimoires with its official tier group, spin acquisition and — where sources exist — its September 2026 community standing, attributed and dated.
PER-BOOK TABLE
All 15 grimoires, entry by entry
The official description sorts the roster into four tier groups: Start (your first books), Grow (the mid roster), Lucky (low-odds spins) and Few (the rarest). Every book comes from the spin system. Standings in the last column quote the September 2026 community rankings by Faceless (September 13) and ItzVexo (September), as circulated by aggregator wikis — community opinion, not official ratings.

HOW TO READ THIS PAGE
What is official, what is opinion
The official game description sorts the 15 books into four tier groups — Start, Grow, Lucky and Few. Those groups describe how a book is obtained: your starting books, the mid roster, low-odds spins and the rarest pulls. That is an acquisition framework, not a power ranking.
Separately, three ranked sources circulated in September 2026: community rankings by Faceless (September 13, 2026) and ItzVexo (September 2026), both known through the aggregator wikis that republish them, and a media tier list from Destructoid (September 16, 2026) that sorts books into S–D groups and calls its own ordering “mostly rarity based — for PvE you want Mythicals and Legendaries”. Treat all three as community and media opinion — none of it is official.
Official comes first. Only the four tier groups and the 15-book roster come from the official description; everything ranked below that is quoted opinion.
Rankings are attributed or absent. Every standing in the table names its source and date — books without ranking coverage say so instead of getting a guess.
Placement proof is thin. Each book's standing traces to a single ranking source, so placements stay quoted, dated and open to change.
Two different axes: spin rarity vs book groups
Community sources describe spin rarities from Common to Mythic — Mythic shown at roughly 0.5% in the in-game roll UI, per footage from the official guide video. The official description, meanwhile, counts four book tiers. Those are different axes — spin odds versus book groups — so both can be true at once. This page treats the official four-group description as the reference and quotes community standings only where sources exist.
QUESTIONS FROM PLAYERS
Grimoire questions, answered honestly
Is Star good in Clover Legends?+
Star is in the Few group of the official tier groups — the rarest group of books. What the September 2026 community rankings do not give is a placement: neither ranking source covers Star on its own, so there is no attributed standing to quote here. Talk about a Star rework you may see in comments is unconfirmed community chatter, not an official announcement.
Is Dark good?+
Dark sits in the Lucky group of the official tier groups, and the September 2026 community rankings place it well: the September 13, 2026 ranking by Faceless puts Dark in the leading group alongside Light and Anti-Magic, and ItzVexo's September 2026 ranking leans the same way. Those are community rankings, not official ratings.
What about Mercury?+
Mercury is in the Grow group of the official tier groups and is one of the books the official description calls newly added. The September 2026 community rankings don't cover Mercury, so any specific placement you see elsewhere isn't backed by the sources on this page.
I have World Tree — what should I learn?+
World Tree is a Lucky-group book officially, and the September 13, 2026 community ranking by Faceless puts it just behind the leading trio. As for what to learn: grimoire progression runs on book levels and spell unlocks, race rerolls are a separate system, and the beginner guide walks the whole loop in order.
How do you use Lightning?+
Lightning is a Grow-group book officially and sits in A-tier of the September 2026 community rankings (Faceless, September 13). Spells unlock as your book levels up — specific key sequences like M1, Z, X, C that circulate in player comments come from single player reports, so this wiki doesn't publish them as fact.
VERSION & EVIDENCE
Where every ranking on this page comes from
Everything ranking-related on this page is quoted, dated and community-sourced. This is the exact state of the evidence as of October 3, 2026.
Ranking dates
Faceless, September 13, 2026, and ItzVexo, September 2026 — community rankings, known through the aggregator wikis that circulate them. Destructoid, September 16, 2026 — media tier list. No newer rankings were verified as of October 3, 2026.
Version isolation
Older tier lists still covering a 12-grimoire roster describe a previous version of the game. They are quarantined: none of them feeds an entry in the table above, because the official roster is 15 books.
Placement status
Every per-book standing traces to a single ranking source — there is not yet enough multi-source confirmation to state placements as settled. The September 2026 rankings are re-checked before any update is published.
Roster check
The 15-book roster — including Mercury, Star and Time — is verified against the official game description as of October 3, 2026.
